BarTag is a private, voluntary social game for adults. Look out for yourself, respect the people around you, and never make a drink the price of participating.
Alcohol is optional
Beer may be in the branding, but it never has to be in your glass. Water, coffee, soda, tea, and mocktails all belong. A turn is complete when the social moment is submitted—not when a beverage is consumed or finished.
Skip dangerous challenges
Do not create drinking contests, rapid-consumption challenges, or anything that rewards risky behavior. Stop when a situation feels unsafe.
Never use BarTag while driving
Never drink and drive, and do not read, post, take photos, choose a venue, or otherwise use BarTag while operating a vehicle.
Adults only
BarTag is only for people age 21 and older. Do not tag someone you know is under 21 or submit their information to the Service.
Respect photos and locations
A proof photo captures the moment; it is not proof of consumption. Consider who and what the image or venue reveals, and get permission before posting another person or a location they reasonably expect to remain private.
Treat people like people
No harassment, threats, hateful conduct, impersonation, stalking, invasive content, or repeated unwanted invitations. A private link can be forwarded or captured, so share it thoughtfully.
In an emergency
BarTag is not an emergency service. If someone may be in immediate danger, stop using the app and contact local emergency services.
